PlacePact and the apps a shared home already knows

Clear, sourced comparisons—not a winner-takes-all feature chart. Some products are excellent at one job. PlacePact’s job is to keep the home around those jobs coherent.

These comparisons use official product information and practical “choose this if” guidance. Last checked 9 August 2026.

Compare shared household apps

  • PlacePact vs Splitwise

Both can record who owes what. The useful difference is scope: Splitwise is a focused expense-sharing product, while PlacePact connects upkeep costs to the household, its people, responsibilities, records and next move.

  • PlacePact vs Flatastic

Flatastic presents a set of flatshare tools including chores, shopping, expenses and a calendar. PlacePact starts with the home as a connected record: physical QR Home cards, approvals, private resident boundaries, repairs and the journey into and out of the household.

  • PlacePact vs Cozi

Cozi’s public feature set centres on a family calendar, shopping lists, to-do lists and recipes. PlacePact is narrower about personal life but deeper about the address: residents, rooms, rotas, Wi-Fi, repairs, shared costs and moving.

  • PlacePact vs Sweepy

Sweepy is designed around home cleaning schedules and household chores. PlacePact’s Home cards can handle a cleaning turn, but also the rule, current attention state, QR, notification and household record around a shared thing.

  • PlacePact vs Nipto

Nipto’s public proposition uses points and competition to organise household chores. PlacePact avoids making every home action a game: it focuses on a clear current owner, a visible completion and a fair next handover.

  • PlacePact vs Tricount

Tricount is a group-expense product for recording costs and calculating balances. PlacePact has a household ledger too, but connects the expense to needed items, paid household help, residents and the home’s ongoing history.

PlacePact does not need to replace everything

Use a specialised expense or cleaning app if it already works. PlacePact earns its place when the household needs one durable layer connecting people, rooms, responsibilities, knowledge, money, repairs, dates and the next move.
